I’m leaving for St. George in 35 minutes!! Kyle and I are driving down and I’m going to meet up with my family for the weekend. I’m totally excited… I just have to make it through 25 more minutes of Dr. Oaks’ lecturing. I think I can survive it. I don’t know what I’m going to do about all the work that I need to get done this weekend. I need to prepare for two tests, and finish reading Antigone. We’ll see, it’ll all work out eventually I guess. Taylor’s coming to play with me this next week!!! I’m sooo stoked. She’s going to come stay at my apartment for a week. I’m not totally sure what we’re going to do, but she’s my favorite person in the world so it’ll be fun no matter what.
On another topic, I had one of the coolest experiences the other night. It had started raining/snowing here in Provo and I wanted to go outside and play in the rain. But I didn’t have anyone to go with me (granted Jared would have come with me… but umm… let’s change it to I didn’t have anyone to go with me that I really wanted to come with me) So I just went by myself. Yeah, it was quarter to midnight and I am female and I shouldn’t be wandering around late at night alone. Bite me. Anyways, so I went from my apartment across the street to the big open field. It was one of the most fun nights I’ve had in a long time. It was dark so I could sing and dance without too much fear of an audience and it was amazing. Actually it was a life changing moment for me. While I was out there I had some time to just let my imagination run wild. I realized again that my passion is for writing and making up stories. I’m not going to give up writing. I don’t know if this makes sense to anyone else, but I’d sorta given it up because… I’m not entirely sure why. I mean, it’s not a practical career, and I’ve never been that great of a writer. I’m not planning on changing majors, or changing careers or anything… but I’m not giving it up either. It’s what I love and it is a passion and I’m not going to let it fall to the wayside.
